At its Jan. 24 meeting, the Aurora Town Board approved an agreement between the town and New York State regarding the plowing of Knox Farm State Park. The town will continue to plow the driveway and parking lot at the park.

Sometime in the early 1820s, a man named Georgious Jung emigrated from Baden Wurtemburg, Germany, to the community of Langford in western New York State. Here he purchased a modest farm and, along with his wife Katherina, raised seven children. The middle child, born in 1854, was named Alexander, and about that time their name was changed to Young.
