What courses should I take if I want to be a lawyer?

Question by Ash Green: What courses should I take if I want to be a lawyer?
I’m going into grade 9, and I need to choose my courses.
I want to be a lawyer when I grow up, and I want to go to Yale University.
Should I take AP courses?

Anyways, for my elective the choices are :
Individual and family living
learning strategies
exploring technologies
Visual Arts
Dramatic Arts
Music
Information technology in business

what would be useful for someone who wants to be a lawyer?

thank you so much 🙂

My daughter is an attorney in the US, so that’s all I know about. Her undergrad and grad degrees are in journalism, PR, etc. I think a broad background is what best prepares you for law school. so I think you’re on the right track. The thing about law school that I’ve learned on this journey is that it’s all about one thing: study, study, study. The assignments consist of more work than you can possibly do, so you just have to pick and choose what you think’s the most important. However, if you give up your life for three years, and devote yourself to it totally, you can do it!! Don’t even think of having any kind of outside employment; you simply can’t do it; Good luck. I know I haven’t answered your question, but I just wanted to cheer you on.
