Q&A: How do all the major music producers make it “big”?

Question by Stru: How do all the major music producers make it “big”?
I love making Hip-Hop instrumentals, but I feel that I’m not good at it. I want to go to college for music production or somewhere in that field, but where would that get me in life? Chances are I won’t be the next Timbaland. I wanna know how people like Polow Da Don, Statik Selektah, etc. get famous and get to actually make tracks for famous artists.

Have some confidence in what you do bruh. if you keep saying you suck thats what everybody else is gonna think. be your biggest fan.

i suggest you follow what you wanna do BUT dont rely on it. because SO many people are wanting to be producers now its a very slim chance your gonna be the next tim. but keep trying, also have something to fall back on. besides music..
