so i really like music, but the biggest problem is that 1. my parents dont allow me to be in a band 2. if i want to work in the music industry, my parents say it better be a good job with good money since my education is already costly. i was wondering if anybody could help me and state some jobs, and if possible the degrees needed. i was thinking of a & r because its got a lot of business in it and my parents would probably be the most pleased by that.

the problem with degrees focused on music is they are a real crap shoot for every 1000 music degree’s there are 2 jobs so it is ridiculously hard to get a job that pays anything.
plus working in an industry of something that has to do with something that you like you usually learn to hate what you once loved.
that being said an intellectual property Law degree is what you should go for because if you can’t make it in the music industry you can work in other fields
