Question by Kelley: how do I make a editable contract PDF?
I have a client who wants my standard artist work for hire contract as a editable pdf. I know how to make a standard PDF file as most programs have this feature. How do I make this file editable in a PDF format?

It may be necessary to purchase expensive software from Adobe. Officially, at least, since it is their proprietary format.

However —

Do a search for “free editable pdf” You will find numerous hits for shareware, freeware, open source, etc. programs that will allow you to edit PDF files without needing to part with your life savings.

None of these options will work quite as well as Adobe (which is why they can charge the big bucks), but one of them will probably be adequate for what you need.
