The Business of the Theater These four programs describe the business aspect of producing the play, how you raise the money to capitalize a play or musical, structuring budgets to account for pre-production and “running” costs, and developing a marketing/publicity and advertising plan. It features theater professionals, including noted publicist David Elzer; Michael Gill, general manager for such productions as Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera, and Hairspray; an entertainment lawyer; a theatrical venture capitalist; and an advertising executive from Sorrino-Coyne, the commercial theatre’s top advertising agency; who offer insights into forming a contract and negotiating. The discussions are both dynamic and informative and offer insights into how you form a contract and behind the scenes negotiations that are vital for all aspects of theatre production.

On May 1, 2006, Boeing announced that it had reached a definitive agreement to purchase Dallas, Texas-based Aviall, Inc. for .7 billion and retain 0 million in debt. Aviall, Inc. and its subsidiaries, Aviall Services, Inc. and ILS formed a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services (BCAS). On August 18, 2007, NASA announced that Boeing would be the manufacturing contractor for the liquid-fueled upper stage of the Ares I rocket. The stage, based on both Apollo-Saturn and Space Shuttle technologies, will be constructed at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility near New Orleans, the same site where Boeing constructed the massive S-IC stage of the Saturn V rocket in the 1960s. Recent Product Development Boeing has recently achieved several consecutive launches, beginning with the formal launch of the 787 for delivery to All Nippon Airways and Air New Zealand.
