best advice on how to get into the music industry?
i write and sing my own music and i want my chance to be able to share my music.
please help me if you can. any contacts or anything.

I just wrote a couple of screenplays but in a similiar boat as you. 1st make sure you copyright your material.

Get complete strangers to listen to your music and see what they think. Most family and friends have a tendency to let their judgement get clouded by your feelings. Find places where you can perform karaoke and perform songs with a similiar music style to yours. Find a local recording study and a couple of the songs professional done on a cd. Go to college campuses, coffee shops, anywhere and everywhere and promote yourself. Sell those cd’s for a couple of bucks. Create a website with the songs on it so you can get more coverage. I like you tube. Video tape yourself singing your music and put it on youtube. These days you have to sell yourself before any major corporation is going to take notice.
