Question by Mramos: Is it legal to change name of renter to her brother’s in leasing contract agreement?
We have new renter, who needs to move out of state for some reason. SHe wanted her brother to continue the lease, is there any legal consequence to this?

Amend the lease to reflect the new tenant and time left on the lease. Get it signed by all parties involved, and you should be ok. You are doing a favor for the original tenant by allowing her to break her lease in this fashion.
