Before you record in a recording studio, do you have to sign a ‘contract’?

Question by Emma R: Before you record in a recording studio, do you have to sign a ‘contract’?
That states you will treat all the recording equipment well, and that anything is broken you have to pay for it to get fixed?
🙂 Very true. My family are interested in opening a studio, and I want to look into a contract that musicians sign before they use the equipment, you never know with some people.

It sounds about right. You may not HAVE to, but I’d imagine a lot of recording studios would have that contract. What’s the problem? Don’t break someone else’s stuff and it shouldn’t be a problem.
