Question by Skywind: Do the major record labels still sign unknown artists?
I’m in a band and we are pretty awesome. Is it possible to get a record contract with a major label without having to tour incessantly for a very long time? What’s the fastest way to a major contract, as a band, and as a singer/songwriter?

You can’t just go from garage-band to major contract.

You’re going to have to play around a little, get an agent.
