CHARLESTON – A new three-year contract for Coles County sheriff’s deputies includes pay raises for the agreement’s first two years.

Contract agreement reached for Coles County deputies
CHARLESTON – The Coles County Sheriff’s Department and the union representing its deputies have reached agreement on a new, three-year contract. The contract is retroactive to December, when the last contract expired, and resulted from an arbitrator’s ruling after a year of negotiations.
