In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org – David Purcell from NYU reviews the proper ways to perform the duties of an artist manager with regard to conduct. He discusses the general duties of a manager such as making sure they show up to rehearsals and interviews on time. Mr. Purcell stresses that the manager can’t be best friends with band because he/she has a responsibility to making sure the band is on task. He explains how an artist can find a manager and discusses the major terms of an artist/manager contract.
