Singing contests make TV comeback
MANILA, Philippines — Reality singing contests are back and thriving – in the US.  “American Idol” crunch time churned in good ratings number in the recent performance show that also showcased Lady Gaga.  “Idol” drew an averaged 22.37 million viewers and clocked-in 6.9 percent rating from viewers aged 18 to 49. The numbers are up 5 percent from last week.
