Siemens to Build Streetcars for Atlanta
Siemens Industry, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded a $ 17.2 million contract from Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority , on behalf of the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, to provide Atlanta with four new streetcars. Â The first car is expected to be delivered in September 2012 with revenue service beginning in early 2013.

ECC union ratifies contract agreement
The Elgin Community College faculty union voted Sunday night to ratify the agreement it had reached with the college in late April. The college is expected to do the same sometime Monday.
