Why do athletes, movie stars and music “artists” get pay more money than the military soldier/marine?

Question by Nathaniel A: Why do athletes, movie stars and music “artists” get pay more money than the military soldier/marine?
I been wondering on how athletes and people in TV make more money than the average Freedom Defender…. i mean, im not hating….i wanted to become an actor once, but i didn’t have a mentor or a lead to how to start…then i became a soldier, (MY CHOICE) but i was wondering how, people in sports and entertainment, get millions a year, or contracts like 40 million for 4 years, 55 million for 7 years to play baseball….or 121 million for 7 years to play hoop…yet, the army is offering me 10,000 for the next 5 years, and when the US Army offers a soldier, a “sign in bonus” you honestly don’t get that at all, because “something” always happens to your paperwork, then when you finally get it…IT GETS TAXED! Soldiers and marines contribute more than a few actors, actresses and sports figures right? by risking their lives everyday in afghanistan and iraq…..something doesn’t make sense i think….do you know why this happens???
