Rare Earth – Keeping Me Out Of The Storm (1975)
Published April 2, 2011
Motown Record Corporation approached Rare Earth in the latter part of 1968 to sign a recording contract. At first the group was reluctant to sign because of knowing of other white groups and artists before them that had not had any success because Motown was geared for promotion and distrubution in the black market only. The personnel in the band on this album (“Back To Earth”) include Gil Bridges (Alto sax, flute and vocals ), Jerry LaCroix (Lead Vocal, Tenor Sax, Flute), Paul Warren (Guitar, Vocal), Ray Monette (Guitar), Eddie Guzman (Congas, Percussion), Barry Eugene Frost (Traps, Percussion), Gabriel Katona (Keyboards, Vocal) & Reggie McBride (Bass, Vocal).
