Am I being too picky???

Question by O’Brien/Ewing Wedding: Am I being too picky???
My husband and I finally received our wedding video on Saturday (it took over 2 months to get) we sat down to watch it and were in just disbelief over the video. During the ceremony the audio and the video are about 1/2 to a full second off which makes us look like a bad Japanese movie. The music selection he chose to place over the cocktail hour was horrible elevator music. The video and Audio skipped in certain places. The best man’s speech/toast was cut off, there were awkward transitions all over the place and the kicker was the ending scene that we had specifically asked for was not done correctly and looks terrible.

I’m not sure what to do. It isn’t like we hired an amateur. They were supposed to be doing this for over 12 years and we paid $ 1,000.00 for this company to film and make our DVD. We had no say in the editing process – he didn’t even ask us what kind of music we liked to help him make the selections for the DVD. HAs this happened to anyone else, or what do I do now? He gave us the final product will all 4 copies do I give them back and have him fix it, ask for the raw footage and pay someone else to edit it.

** I also checked the contract and there is nothing in it regarding the editing process.
I also forgot to add that the day of our wedding, a different guy showed up. Not the one who we booked and was written on our contract. and the owner/editor is a nieghbor of ours – we found out that he lives 3 houses down from us.

This company will get a terrbile review from us regardless. I just want a wedding video I won’t be embarrassed to send to our family members who weren’t able to make it.
