a question of ethics?

Question by Akeem A: a question of ethics?
Just a question of ethics that I have been pondering recently:

Is it morally wrong to engage in activities that would be detrimental to large corporations?

I’m talking about behaviors like illegally downloading music, lying to customer service representatives to get your way, or capitalizing on oversights to make a quick buck (such as buying a defective item on eBay, then buying that same product at Best Buy, swapping defective product for working product and returning it to the store). Keep in mind the corporations in question are engaging in such behavior themselves, inflating the prices of their products beyond reasonable margins, trapping their customers in ridiculous contracts, and providing sub-par service. I understand that the business of business is business and all, but why is it so taboo to make the business of consumers rebellion? Why is it so “mean” of us to try to screw over large corporations when screwing us over is their specialty?

uh……yes it’s wrong. It makes prices go up even higher! It’s the same as theft – going in and stealing from them. Now they have to send the crap you returned back when it wasn’t even in their inventory and absorb that cost. Besides the bottom line is it just inflates the consumers cost. If you want to ‘screw’ a large company, just dont do business with them.
