There are a few ways too do this.
Step one is to record a demo record, with some of the songs you think are the best and set your band apart from others.

Step two would be sending it to various record companies, you should make sure the company you send it too normally produces that kind of music.

Step three would be to set up a myspace, sadly and yet luckily bands can build a huge fan base before they even release an album this way.

Alternatively you can find a small record company such as an indie label who will sign and produce you.
However note that when you sign contracts of any sort you should have a manager or lawyer read over it and make sure you are not signing away your life. They will most likely force you to give there company rights to the songs if they are producing you out of pocket.

One more alternative you can produce yourself, the only problem with that is, its alot of work and really hard to get massive recognition that way. And if you do it takes time and like I said lots of hard work.
