Jaguars TE Lewis signs 1-year franchise tender
Pro Bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis has signed a one-year franchise tender with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team also signed receiver Jason Hill to a two-year contract Thursday night. Lewis will earn $ 7.3 million in 2011, although the team still could sign him to a long-term deal after a new collective bargaining agreement is in place.

Carr, Richardson get contract tenders from Chiefs
Cornerback Brandon Carr was offered a first-round tender, which under the current CBA means any team that signs Carr to a contract would have to give the Chiefs a first-round draft pick. Right tackle Barry Richardson was given a second-round tender.
