Producing music together for over 8 years , led to Signing with Tricky & Chris Blackwell’s Brownpunk label. It all looked set to work out as 1st Blood had hoped, but unforseen circumstances arose at the label and the album never got released. Brownpunk’s recording contract has now elapsed, having failed to release 1st Blood’s music, so they are now free to sign to another label. The situation did nothing but motivate 1st Blood to continue what they do best, which is make good music and lots of it. Chris Blackwell at Bluemountain remains supportive of the 1st Blood Cause. Immensely catchy solid beats, imaginative synths, tight scratches, scathing social commentary combined with tongue in cheek sensibility, that oozes out the smooth bass heavy productions.
